This retailer now has multiple requirements for Lead Network Security Engineers to strengthen its core offering and to help deliver an exciting range of Security and Network Engineering projects.

You, and your teams, will be delivering to tens of millions of users across the globe every day and you will be trusted as a technical authority on architecture, design and build. Your contributions will inspire peers and colleagues and ensure continual improvements in engineering excellence.

Successful candidates will;
* Be responsible for Architecture as well as Delivery, acting as a Technical Design Authority for Infrastructure projects and components
* Be responsible for delivering the Technology Roadmap for Data Centres across the globe
* Collaborate with a range of Software Engineers & Architects to understand their requirements and assist them consuming Infrastructure
* Coach, mentor and upskill your peers and colleagues across Technology at a more junior level from a technical, project and commercial perspective
* Work tirelessly to ensure the designs produced by you and your team adhere to best practice and process and at all times are sympathetic to the impacts of other areas of infrastructure.

Successful candidates should have experience of most of the following technologies;

* Firewalls Platforms and Technologies, including build and configuration of; Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Firepoint, Checkpoint, Fortinet and Firewall rule analysis e.g. Skybox or Tufin
* Threat prevention and detection techniques and associated technologies (e.g. IPS, IDS, APT, SEIM and Secure Proxy)
* Software-defined networking (SDN) Automation & Configuration Tools like GIT, Chef, Anisble or Puppet, preferably in a DevOps environment
* VPN and Associated technologies and protocols
* Load balancing & Global DNS balancing technologies and techniques. F5 hardware and software appliances
* Remote access and two factor authentication technologies and AAA solutions (e.g. RSA, Juniper, Pulse Cisco ACS and Radius)
* OSI network topologies, troubleshooting and design (Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, iGRP), DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management and TCP/UDP Port RFC & IEEE 802-based standards)
* Scripting knowledge (e.g. Python, Unix/Linux or PowerShell & Batch)
* Familiarity with VMware NSX and wider VMware software stack
