I'm partnering an outstanding banking organisation in central London, undergoing significant Digital Transformation, to find a Software Development Project Manager. This a genuinely unique opportunity to work with a bank that's been a leading light in the UK for over 100 years and which is completely revolutionising the way they interact with customers, at time when the entire banking landscape is transforming.
The primary function of your role is to act as the interface between a diverse range of business stakeholders and the core engineering team who build the banks mobile and digital applications. The ideal candidate must therefore have a strong blend of technical and commercial skills, underpinned with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels. You'll likely have been a software or mobile developer in the past, well versed in technologies such as; IOS, Objective-C and Android Java, any previous exposure to middleware technologies would also be hugely beneficial ( e.g. Java, SpringBoot, Dockers, MicroServices Architecture and REST AP).
Additional Key responsibilities of the Software Development Project Manager are;
*Identifying and manages opportunities / alignment of IT strategy and planning with the Digital Transformation strategy and roadmap
*Ensuring that projects do not duplicate functionality or diverge from each other and business and IT strategies
*Develops understanding of the digital portfolio (platforms) that is used for our customers, in order to identify potential opportunities for technological investments (upgrades, migration, decommissioning).
*Provide strategic consultation to the organisation and its subsidiaries, projects and service development initiatives in defining or designing business processes and functions, as well as in researching, identifying and internally marketing enabling technologies based on customer requirements
*Work with Product Owners / Business Analysts to provide designs and architecture to reach a consensus based solution that is scalable, adaptable and in synchronisation with changing business needs
*Understanding emerging technologies: knowledge and innovative thinking of the latest digital technologies
*Act as a key driver to the innovation space of the digital transformation team by designing and prototyping solutions across web and mobile.
*Use an agile dev ops approach with the ability to introduce new technologies to help aid the development / testing / automation approach.
