Windows Desktop Engineer | Glasgow | £300-£350 per day


One of Scotland's most successful Tech firms has an immediate requirement for a Windows Desktop Engineer to join them on-site in Glasgow on an initial 6-month contract. The primary focus of your role will be to provide flawless technical support and outstanding service to your colleagues across EMEA. The role will see you interacting and supporting all levels of users in the business, from developers and fellow engineers to Director and C-Suite Executives (1st -3rd line). It's therefore imperative that successful candidates have strong, previous experience of working in a face to face support environment, ideally including supporting VIP's, Directors, C-Suite & Senior Executives.

Technical experience required for Windows Systems Engineer is;

  • Strong Windows desktop experience - 1st -3rd line
  • VMWare, Azure & Office 365
  • Microsoft Desktop operating systems (Windows 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10)
  • Microsoft Server operating systems (Windows Server 2008 / 2008 R2 / 2012 / 2012 R2 / 2016)
  • Microsoft Server products including Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, SQL and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience of mobile device management, printer setups, audiovisual equipment, hardware builds, installations and upgrades
  • Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Experience with MacOS in an Enterprise environment including device management, imaging, patching etc (beneficial but not essential)
  • Experience of Casper and Jamf (beneficial but not essential)
  • Strong scripting & automation experience
